I can not BELIEVE it’s the third Tuesday of September already! INSANITY I tell you. In fact my BIRTHDAY is tomorrow! Last year I threw myself my last hurrah before the baby cake, my Ice Cream Parlor birthday party. It was SUCH a fun party, I was GOING to repeat it this year. BUT I’m working on a big first birthday party for Baby Boy instead, look for that next month! Remember the link party will be open all month so come back every week and link up! You can find the link party by clicking on the Topsy Turvy Third Tuesday button on my sidebar!
So this last month I promised i’d post more and catch up, after all the older 4 kids are in school and it’s just me and Baby Boy home all day, LOTS of extra time, right? WRONG! It’s been super busy as I’ve been playing catch up on EVERY aspect of my life that got ignored while we enjoyed our summer together! I think I’ll always be a bit behind… Part of my charm, right? I will say Baby boy is at SUCH a fun age it’s when we aren’t running errands I tend to sing and dance and play ball with him instead of blog, I know you guys understand!
But I did get some posts in, a few giveaways (with another one later this week so come back!) AND some really fun project! This Neon Paper Dahlia, My Marriage and Birth Certificate Family Puzzle, Chalkboard Chargers, and this White Trash Trailer Cake
This Rainbow unicorn cake is totally impressive! WAY TO GO!!! she not only does a great job shaping the cake, but has great fondant skills too! The whole party is cute and fun, but the cake is the real treat!
If Baby Boy had been a girl I would totally have made these adorable t-shirt flowered sandals for “her”. My sister just had a girl, I might have to make her a pair! Adorable!
I don’t have a lot of room in our basement apartment. For crying outloud we have one toilet for 7 people (good thing Baby Boy is in diapers!) So guests are out of the question. BUT if I had a good window I could add a hide-a-bed window seat! Totally using this when we finally get a house a reading space most of the time but good for guests too! Maybe in my office?
I’ve seen a few tutorials to make your own pads of paper, and I’ve totally been meaning to pin one and try it out! This is a great tutorial AND it includes a printable if you want to create a shopping list pad!
Cake balls have slowly taken over the cupcake craze (thankfully) and these pineapple cake pops are TOTALLY adorable! Seriously? Could they be more perfect!
Our Sate Fair just ended (we didn’t get to go this year – Boo) and one of the BEST parts of the Fair is the food! For a few years now fried foods have been the BIG thing to try. This is a recipe for deep fried Twinkies looks AMAZING! Whose going to try it?
I’ve been debating between a few different themes for Baby Boy’s first birthday party next month. The top contender for the last few months was COMIC books! So when I saw this comic book chair I about died!
But I actually switched theme- now we’re doing “cake batter and sprinkles” (saving comics for an older boys party- or mine), so these funfetti cookies are right up the parties alley!
