Remember Topsy Turvy Tuesdays are now just once a month, the third Tuesday! The link party will be open all month so come back every week and link up! You can find the link party by clicking on the Topsy Turvy Third Tuesday button on my sidebar!
It’s been a busy summer, my first summer with 5 kids! We didn’t get out to play as much as I’d hoped, but we still had a great time together. The kids start up again next week so expect the blog to pick back up again (until the Holiday’s at least!). I have a TON of fun stuff I’ve done over the summer to share with you, and more fun projects and recipes in the works!
Quick month’s recap: I finally got around to posting my life sized Candy Land game. I also shared Baby Boy’s 9 month pictures! I can’t believe how fast his first year is going! And we celebrated 12 years of marriage! And yesterday I posted two washi tape crafts with a giveaway for 10 rolls of tape and 25 decorative tags.
The cake business has been busy too! I made another vintage ruffled wedding cake with a tutorial on painting the edges of the flowers. I made a blue ombre smash cake for a sweet one year old! I was excited to make Bumble Bee shaped sugar cookies for the DIY blogger house reveal party in Daybreak. And finally a Kaboo bags inspired cake for the Bella Bash!
So the Olympics are over, and I didn’t see a SINGLE event! Growing up I loved watching them, but we don’t have TV and it’s just not the same trying to crowd my kids around my computer… But I love love LOVE this torch and medal from Sew Can do! NEXT time!
We’re major nerds over here… My husband has a Chemistry degree, and Chemical engineering degree so we are big fans of the periodic table! I love the idea of using the periodic table as art! I might have to frame these for my husband!
Kids love sensory toys, and Asperger kids ESPECIALLY love sensory stuff. I’m excited to make these toddler sensory bottles! Easy to make and a ton of fun, Baby Boy is going to LOVE a few of these!
Do you love glitter??? I LOVE Glitter… and Shoes? LOVE shoes, so glitter shoes??? Perfection!
I’m trolling through KSL classifieds for a gorgeous, detailed dresser for my office. So I tend to gravitate towards lovely makeovers like this one! This dresser redo is just lovely, and I LOVE this green, I might use this shade myself!
You KNOW I have to feature some food… mmmmm After I finish these features I go enjoy my “second” dinner… These Texican Pillows look delicious!
I have a few favorite candy bars, and twix are one of them! I can’t wait to try these homemade twix bars! Whose with me?
I’ve been hearing about biscoff spread all year, I love the cookies so I can’t WAIT to try these biscoff cupcakes! Don’t they look absolutely delicious?
tip of the month- How to make your page or a single image “no pin”! the first thing I did was make all your feature images no pin so people will be more inclined to click over to your page to pin you!
Don’t forget to take a button if you were featured

Grab a button for you blog somewhere (or adding a text link is just fine!).

Let’s see what you’ve got!

I just love your cakes, you are very talented!
Thank you for featuring my glittered shoes, I am having so much fun with them. I wear them everywhere I go and I always get a lot of comments on them.
thank you so much! My cakes are SUPER fun to make! I love the glitter shoes, I made myself a pair last year! I need to do another one (or two…)
I’m glad you like that tip for making images “unpinnable”, thanks for featuring it! And that’s totally what I use it for too, to prevent other people’s photo from being pinned from my site on a feature page or if I post them as inspiration or whatever.
Best tip EVER! I need to go back and add it to other pinterest inspired posts and features! Better for everyone!
I create a lot of “round up” type posts. They are great for finding lots of ideas in a certain subject. I know I love them on other blogs and love sharing mine with my readers. I always feel a bit bad when I see my round ups pinned on pinterest with an individual image from the post and not the nifty lil post title button I created. After seeing your feature up there for the unpinnable images, I decided to make a quick notation in my posts asking readers to pin individual ideas from their source or use my button to pin the list in it’s entirety. I hope that makes it all more blog-litically correct!! LOL Thanks for hosting, Ashlee.
perfect thing to use it for! It’s important to not take credit in any way, this makes it so much more “blog-litically correct”
Thanks for the great party!
