Yes I know, I’m late again. I have a perfectly good explanation! Yesterday was the first real day of summer vacation! The kids and I spent a very cold, wet and cold day at Lagoon! It’s always best to go on the wet drizzly days because then it’s mostly empty and there are no lines! BUT the kids decided it was the day to also try out the water park! The sun has not had a chance to warm up the water so not only was it cold outside it was FREEZING in the water! The kids love water though so they stuck it out until their lips turned purple. Finally we dried off and enjoyed some rides! We went home and had dinner, then put the kids to bed and I PROMPTLY fell asleep! I didn’t wake up until this morning (AFTER the kids). We’re taking a break from Lagoon today but we’ll head back tomorrow. I just hope it’s a BIT warmer tomorrow!
I started the week off with some pre scheduled posts, which was good because I was so busy with the last week of school, a birthday and two birthday parties that my week was INSANE! but in a VERY good way, I love being so busy and the birthday celebrations went great! I celebrated my 10th anniversary as a mother! Always a fun and emotional day for me!
I FINALLY posted using my silhouette to cut gumpaste/fondant tutorial. I LOVED it and I can’t WAIT to use it more and more and more! Then I also posted my ruffled camera strap tutorial! Two tutorials in one week, insane I know! I’m finally catching up from all the crafts I made at the beginning of the year for So You Think Your Crafty! So expect to see more over the next few weeks. It might take me a while to get our summer vacation schedule and my blogging schedule in sync!
And finally today my first contributing post for I Heart Salt Lake is up! So come check out my review for Yogi Berry, a self serve yogurt shop the kids and I absolutely adore!
On to the features…
I LOVE these labels for taking food to a new mother! I have been the recipient of many meals after having my babies and even more I have TAKEN dinner to friends who have had babies. I LOVE to dress things up a bit and adding these labels is brilliant!
I love making my own piñatas for my kids. I’ve made over half a dozen over the years! I’ve done easy ones and more complicated ones. This stegosaurus piñata is so much fun! AND she shares DETAILED pictures of how she creates them! It’s a fun piñata and a great tutorial.
Check out this adorable sesame street birthday party! I LOVE the homemade gift bags! They alone made me fall in love, the brownies, picture board and signs just make it that much cuter! And who doesn’t love the color scheme of a sesame street party?
So there you have it, some of the features from last week. Don’t forget to take a button if you were featured (even if you were featured before because I have NEW buttons.

Don’t forget to grab a NEW button for you blog somewhere (I promise this will be it for buttons for at LEAST the rest of the year!)! And don’t forget to take the dang music OFF your blogs. We all hate it, I promise we all really really REALLY hate it. So turn it off!
