Topsy Turvy Tuesday’s #11

You may have noticed that I didn’t get around to doing Topsy Turvy Tuesday’s last week. I have a great reason for that! My husband got a job! Yup! After 15 months jobless he got a job. Best news ever. But because he starts work so early it wasn’t possible for us to stay in the cabin any longer. SO I spent all last week working 24/7 trying to get enough finished on the house that we could at least live in it while I finished the rest. Add to that a wedding cake last week as well as my folks visiting it was CRAZY busy. THEN the flu hit. My son came home Wednesday sick. It just seems to be a 48 hour bug, but it went through the kids and my husband during the weekend. Somehow I missed it! I was so grateful, because I had so much to do! But it finally caught up to me! Last night (or early this morning) I got it too! I think I might DIE! Okay, not really, but this does remind me enough of morning sickness that I won’t be craving a baby for at least a year or two!
Anyway, we’re moved into the house, the kitchen/living room and boys room are livable, although not fully completed yet. The plan is to continue working on the house while we live in it. Hopefully it won’t take too much longer as it would have otherwise! As soon as I’m feeling better I’ll start posting what we have done so far! In the meantime show me what you’ve got!

I updated my button so it will take you straight to the blog instead of the splash page. So if you already have the button you might want to get the updated one!

  4. I’m so happy to hear about your husband’s job. Mine just lost his on Friday. A little scary! Thanks for hosting again.

    • I’m so sorry! I hope your time out of work doesn’t last as long as ours did! 15 months was rough. What finally worked for us was lots and lots of networking, introductions to people, taking big wig’s to lunch etc… What does your husband do?

  5. Thanks for hosting!! Love your site :)

  6. Great blog! so glad hubby found a job my friends hubby is on month 5 so she is flipping out!!! Will be following hope to see you at mine :)

    • Month 5 is rough, still early enough that your expecting it to change anytime. by month 15 though I didn’t actually believe the job he got was real until he went in for the first day of work! I hope her husband finds something soon. It’s so stressful on the whole family, husbands get so easily depressed when they aren’t supporting their families. Stress stress all around. Not fun!

  7. Thanks for hosting!! :) Thanks for stopping by too! :) I LOVE that raffia wreath too! LOVE IT!

  8. Hi! I’m so sorry – linky tools went nuts on me and I started over and it added 3 of the same website but 2 different pic’s. Sorry about that. I was trying to add the bowl of soup for GivingNSharing.

Thanks for the linky! Tina “The Book Lady”

    • don’t worry about it. I’ve done it too! Once I had the linky system post a picture from a completely different post on me! It’s funny how it can gum up sometimes!
