So I’ve been thinking about teaching again for awhile. But I wasn’t sure what, where, when, etc… So when I met the gals from Gygi’s (a local kitchen and bakery supply store) this last summer I was thrilled when things clicked into place. They have a gorgeous class kitchen all the supplies you could ever need for cake decorating (and every other kitchen need, their kitchen showroom is drool worthy).

They already have an AMAZING cake decorating teacher, so I hadn’t considered it an option before. BUT she only teaches at night, and I’m only free during the day!!! I figured I can’t be the ONLY mom who can do days, right? So after getting everyone back in school, getting on a good schedule and working out details (like working out babysitting for Baby Boy) we’re ready to go!!!
So I’m excited to share I’m the newest teacher at Gygi’s, and the FIRST day time class!!! Last Thursday night we had a bloggers night out to kick off my new class. Eeeek!!!!

I was so nervous to be teaching again! But it went great! It was a good practice run and fun to spend an evening teaching such good friends! They usually get to see my finished work and it was fun to share a bit of what I do with them!
I’ll be teaching the first and second Monday’s of each month at Gygi’s Starting next month!
November 8th and 12th from 10am to noon is Elegant Buttercream cakes
December 5th and 10th from 10 am to noon is Fondant and gumpaste roses, ruffles and cascading petals
December 8th from 2 to 4 pm is a kids class
If these classes fill up and Gygi’s is happy with me I’m hoping to teach the rest of the school year, and the next and the next!!! What classes would you like to see? I’d love to have about 3-5 classes we rotate through! Sugar Veil? Airbrushing? Carving? Princess cakes? Lego figures?
