We’re having a wonderful few days with my husband off. Thankfully most of us are 100% healthy again and able to have fun! I’m grateful for so many things in my life, my husband and children of course top the list. I don’t think I could love them more. Being a mom has always been what I have wanted to do with my life and I am so grateful my husband supports me being at home taking care of our clan.
So last year I did the reindeer beanie for Baby Boy, THIS year I was having so much fun with my bearded beanies that I decided to make a bearded Santa’s hat!
I went through a few designs, for my first version used Fun Fur for the brim and beard. I think think looks great, BUT annoyed Baby Boy to no end, all that fur in his mouth and tickling his nose, I hadn’t even though of that!
I love it when big companies give back and help amazing causes. I also love getting to take my kids for free and fun activities. So I am super excited about Macy’s Letters to Santa!
It’s super easy to do, Macy’s has cards in store right next to their Santa Mail box. Just bring a stamp, let your kids write or draw a letter and mail it! You can also use their online letter writing app, OR just write a normal letter to Santa and mail it at Macy’s!
I actually made these stars 9 years ago during our Christmas in Japan. We hadn’t been able to ship anything over, and we certainly didn’t have a tree so I found some gorgeous Japanese fat quarter squares and made these ornaments. I made about 80 of them and shipped half of them back to family in the states.
For a tree I cut out green card stock handprints, the bottom two rows are my husbands hands, then mine, then The Reader and finally topped off with Computer boy’s hand prints! We taped them to the window, added a bunch of the ornaments and voila, a bit of Christmas in Japan!
I hope you have all been enjoying my Free Lego Star Wars labels available on my Facebook page! They are still there, but for Christmas my sister suggested it would be fun to offer some photo Christmas cards. I spent the last few days designing these options to offer you.
I decided to go with the chalkboard trend, I hope you like them. I created 6 fronts and 6 backs. 3 vertical and 3 horizontal. and we’re giving half of them away for free if you like MY facebook page, Topsy Turvy.
