Makeing the food for this party was SO much fun! I scoured Pinterest and google looking for fun recipes! I found these truffles at The Girl who ate everything (love her site)

[print_this]Cake Batter Truffles with Sprinkles
1 1/2 C flour
1 C cake mix
1/2 C butter, softened
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
3-4 Tbsp milk
2 Tbsp sprinkles

Beat the butter and sugar in your mixer. Add the cake mix, flour, salt, and vanilla and mix thoroughly. It will be very dry. Add 3 Tbsp of milk and mix, add the last Tbsp of milk if you need it to get it to stick together (I did). Mix in sprinkles! Roll your dough into balls and place on a parchment cookie sheet and chill in the fridge or freezer.

16 ounces guittard white candy melts
4 Tablespoons cake mix

While your dough balls are chilling, melt the white chocolate in your microwave or double broiler. I like to use my 2 C glass measuring cup because it’s tall and narrow and good for dipping. Once melted, quickly stir in cake mix until incorporated completely. It will be thick, if you need to thin it down add a LITTLE shortening (very little, you don’t want it to be too thin)

I dipped the end of my sucker stick into the chocolate and in my truffle balls! Once they are set (I leave most of the truffles in the fridge and just work with a few at a time so they don’t get too soft or warm) then I dip them into the chocolate, shake off the excess and immediately sprinkle on the sprinkles!

Keep the truffles in the refrigerator until your ready to serve![/print_this]

    Holy sprinkles! Those are adorable.

I love Gygi’s too! They got me hooked on Baking Emulsions and Vanilla Bean Paste- they’re so much better than extracts. Who knew?
