Bella Bash- fellow sponsors

I was SO excited to get to be a sponsor for the Bella Bash last week, and today I want to share some of the other sponsors with you!  Not because I have to, but because I sincerely had an enjoyable time with these gals and guys and WAN T to share!

The first was CeCe Caldwells paints.  Now I’d  heard a bit about CeCe’s before the event, and I’ve heard about chalk paint before, but was it really worth the hype? YES IT IS!!!!  It’s awesome!  The paint is GREEN, which means non-toxic AND  no fumes- you can paint in the same room as your kids, when your pregnant, etc….  AND the paint is packaged in recycled plastic containers. so you don’t have to worry about drying it out and taking a special trip to the dump!

This is CeCe with Baby Boy!  He loved her, and Baby Boy has GREAT tastes, so you KNOW she’s great!  She was fun to talk with and clearly loved what she’s doing, which is always attractive in a person!

And check out these fun colors!!!  That bright red is just to DIE for, and that bright green???  AMAZING!  I have some BIG projects coming up this fall and i’ve been looking for the right paint for the job and I’ve FOUND it!  on the front piece the covered half of it with their satin finish!

they brought some pieces with them and painted them for examples, and it was SO much fun!  I’m really excited to get my hands on some and do some tutorials for you.  the paint cleans up easily with soapy water, which is good cause I tend to be a klutz and make a mess.  Also the paint is self priming and you can paint RIGHT onto anything, no sanding required, just clean your surface and paint!

you can distress and age the details in your project in a few different ways.  One-  after you paint take a wet wash cloth and rub off the area’s you don’t want the paint, if you rub off too much add more paint!  Two- painting other colors on, here CeCe is dry brushing another color (the bright green) over the turquoise.   The layers of color added such depth, I loved the effect!  And Third- add their wax (also green- not the color green-environment friendly green!)

Also it can paint other materials- like this Kaboo Pouch!!!!!!  And fabric (don’t want to reupholster?  just paint the fabric!) and even laminate furniture (we all have ikea stuff, right?  personalize it with paint!)!

Here are the two purses they painted!!!  How totally cute?  The kaboo girls were all fighting over who got which one! I like the black, coral and tan myself, but I’m not a yellow gal…

Next up? The Life Aveda Salon in South Jordan!  After spending a few days working on the cakes I NEEDED a massage!  It was great!  I’m good at treating myself when I’m pregnant, but I haven’t treated myself since then, and I think I need to do it more often!

AND make up!  I THOUGHT I did a good job with my make up, then this gal did a “touch up” and I looked like 10 years younger and my eye’s POPPED!  (purple brings out the green in my eyes…)

We also got hand massages and manicures, too. It was SO much fun to get so spoiled and treated!  Like I said I don’t always remember to treat myself and it was definitely nice!  wouldn’t it be fun to be made over all the time!  I’m not jealous of the scrutiny stars are under, but I would love to be spoiled like this more often!

This was the amazing team from Aveda that spoiled us both evenings!  They not only did a great job, but were friendly, fun to chat with and I am SO going in to get more spoiled! Thanks again everyone!!!

And finally the FOOD!  The first night we had Cafe Rio (but no photographer for pictures- Boo, sorry!).  It was DELICIOUS, I think I could eat there every night! The second night we had the Catering Company.

here is a sample of what they had for us, I have to say the soup shot was by favorite, it was a Gazpacho- a cold tomato soup, and it was fabulous! Everything was delicious!  Thank you to both Cafe Rio and The Catering  Company!
