There is quite a gap between The DA and Baby Boy, I wanted more children, but it just wasn’t in the cards for awhile. Because we downsized during that time from our huge house to this basement apartment we got rid of almost all our baby stuff. So now that Baby Boy is turning one (this week- CRAZY) we’re feeling the lack of baby toys around here.

He’s quite the mover and shaker, and loves getting into things. He adores music, dancing, buttons and lights (but let’s face it, what baby doesn’t). I was considering waiting until his birthday to give him the Leap Frog Animal Adventure Learning Table, but the day it arrived in the mail I was working on a big cake order so I opened it RIGHT up!

My only regret is that I didn’t have the camera ready the second I opened it cause his face LIT up! Straight from the box he loved it. The older kids did too actually! They love exploring and discovering what everything does with him. I kept having to shoo them away to give him some private time with HIS toy!

It’s actually been a life saver as I’ve been busy planning his birthday party! I love that there are basically 4 settings, there is the button that switches between music and ABC’s and then in either of those settings you can flip the book from letters to numbers and all the other buttons/keys/slides will switch to different tunes/songs/etc… And of course the ever important volume options!

I loved that the legs are easy to take on and off too. It’s frustrating when you have one of these ginormous baby toys that you can’t make smaller when you need to. I like being able to take the legs off and bring the top with us to visit Aunt Chelsea and our cousins. It also fits on his lap in the car for long road trips!

These two pictures are my favorite! Baby boy has become QUITE the copy cat! He totally copies EVERYTHING anyone does, from kicking blockes, to sitting or laying down (whatever his companion is doing) to this. I was re-starting the music with my foot while taking pictures and the next thing I know he’s using his foot (or trying to)! Utterly adorable!

  1. As JaneEllen says:

Pretty nervy of anybody saying anything to you about how many children you have. For heavens sake, look at your adorable baby boy, he was meant to be in your family and to add to the love and joy. Nobody else knows the facts of your lives and it’s none of their business. Even your parents.
When my Dad died my own Mother gave me the business about being pregnant for my third child. Told me my Dad would roll over in his grave. Needless to say I wasn’t happy with her. My 3rd. is a wonderful man now with his own family and I’m so glad I hung in there with him. He’s brilliant, handsome, loving, sweet and lots of other adjectives. As a baby and young child he entertained all of us all the time. We called him the Tasmanian devil since he was always into something or hurting himself riding his bike or falling out of a tree. He was just all boy, not a bad child. Enjoy that litlte boy all you can.
I don’ t know what your reference to Asperger meant but that’s still your decision.

    • people tend to think their opinion matters, when it doesn’t. We didn’t care at all because we know what decision is best for us, our children and family.

My older children have all been diagnosed with aspergers, as well as my husband and a lot of members of his family have been as well, clearly for us it’s genetic, and the changes of Baby Boy having it are very high. so choosing to have another baby with those odds seemed selfish to lots of people.
